for the first time in forever... let it goCollapse )

It started out as a feeling which then grow into a hope,
which then turned into a quiet thought,
which then turned into a quiet word.
And then that word grew louder and louder,
until it was a battle cry.

It's surreal to think of what today is. It snuck up on me like it never has before, after one of the most significant, difficult, trying, happy, and craziest years of my life. I'll make a formal update later, but:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sending my love to all my friends here, and all those in need/want of a virtual hug! :P

I know I absolutely must be bugging everyone on my flist about the Hunger Games by now. Unless you're as crazy in love with it as I am, it's maddening how often I talk about it. To spare you all, I'm keeping all of my Hunger Games fic updates here. No more big ramble-filled posts about it, ok? If it DOES interest you, click "track" at the top of the page and you'll be notified when I make an update. I'll comment when I add something.
FYI: Spoiler warning extraordinaire.

REAL OR NOT REAL?Collapse )

I need a bit of help! Will you spare a minute or two to vote? If you're reading this at all, I'd seriously appreciate it. Just two quick clicks to answer two questions and you can be on your way!

VOTE IN A POLL!Collapse )
Ok. Now, flist, go read my actual relevant entry that I actually want you to read, haha.

2:56AM... well, it's better than 4AM. I wanted to go to bed earlier, and I honestly would have, but I kept writing. What was I writing, you ask? My fanfic for The Hunger Games. As a member of my flist, you get the privilege (ha, I flatter myself) of reading the rough first version of Part One. Strike that, I'm opening it up to the public for the following reason: I need a beta. Badly. I need someone to help me go back and change the tenses (I go back and forth between past tense and present tense, which is one of my pet peeves), and I need help with the dialogue, the little details, and really everything. If you haven't read anything of The Hunger Games, it would still be so helpful if you would read and provide a bit of critique. If you have read the series, tell me if I screwed up.

FYI: It's spoilery.

Panem et CircensesCollapse )

Because livejournal is stupid I wrote way too much, it doesn't all fit into one entry. So continue reading here and leave a comment!

HAVE YOU READ THE FIRST PART?

Panem et CircensesCollapse )
I spent maybe two hours adding stuff to this. It's so rough. There are obviously so many flaws here and there, and so much tweaking that needs to be done, loads of revisions, but I want to get this off my chest and GET HELP in making it better.

SHARE THOUGHTS PLEASE? :)

So I got bored. And lookie there, it's after 4am. Anyone see a trend?
Anyway, curiosity got the best of me and I made a community.
= Hardcore Readers.
I got inspired. I wanted a community that could supplement everything I wanted as a book nerd. A place to meet people with similar interests, discuss books I love, discover new novels & fandoms, and even get my fiction out there and hopefully find a beta. If you love me you'll spam this at your blogs and join and possibly even apply to help me out!

As if I haven't been going on enough about the Hunger Games already, I decided to start pumping out icons dedicated to Mockingjay. Currently these are just a few simple quote icons that I made so we can all run around declaring our mad love for all that is Mockingjay, but I'd love to have more suggestions so I can make a ton of really nice icons for every book in the Hunger Games trilogy.

And for those of you interested in chatting about Mockingjay, please read my review, comment, discuss. Agree with some of my comments and pose further questions, or totally disagree and try to prove me wrong. I'm completely up for it.

I'm not even going to bother locking this post. Such flailing cannot be restricted to merely my flist. But I will probably be rambling so much that hardly anyone will read it because I can promise there will be a lot of text in this post.

MOCKINGJAY
The book that stole my heart.
And mind. And broke them both a little.

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!Collapse )

I'm going to have to make quote icons now. Suggestions?
