Kiera Knightley - Coloring Tutorial request | my credits | memories
Wanna know what to do with those black and white pictures?
Well, I have a great coloring technique!
And it even works for colored images!
Go from this to
in 14 easy steps.
I provide the gradients and textures.
No curves involved.
Made in GIMP 2.
Easily translatable.
1. Start with your image. Resize it. I ended up with this.
2. Duplicate layer. Set it to soft light. Opacity 25%. Merge layers.
3. Open light pink gradient. Set it to soft light. Opacity 25%.
4. Open very light blue gradient. Set it to soft light. Opacity 100%.
5. Open pink gradient. Set it to multiply. Opacity 25%.
6. Open dark blue gradient. Set it to screen. Opacity 75%.
7. Open sea blue gradient. Set it to burn. Opacity 25%.
8. Open yellow gradient. Set it to multiply. Opacity 75%.
9. Open light blue gradient. Set it to burn. Opacity 100%.
10. Open blue gradient. Set it to soft light. Opacity 35%.
11. Open texture by
meleada. Set it to soft light. Opacity 100%.
12. Open texture by ???. Set it to soft light. Opacity 65%. ****
13. Open light texture by
risha. Set it to screen. Opacity 50%.
14. Merge layers.
That's it!
It's simple, but it enhances a plain black and white picture.

Go ahead and tell me what you think!
I'd love to see what you can do!
Feel free to ask questions.
**** If the person who made the texture in step 12 would let me know who they are, then I will credit them.
